This effect was named after Josh Adamski, the impressionist photographer who popularised it and combines a motion blurred background with a sharp subject to create a cool abstract illusion.

Intentional camera movement, defocus, blur, long exposure; they all have the same intent, to provoke an evocative response and force us to experience reality from a different perspective.

I have always been fascinated by moments in time; a stranger walking to an unknown destination with a purpose, a single thought. This is an ongoing collection focused on passers-by as I wonder around with my camera.
